Pado — Terms of Service

1. The service

Pado is a personal application for learning Norwegian, in an open beta. Anyone aged 16 or over can create an account. You bring the Norwegian you meet — or use the ready word packs — and Pado turns it into cards, reviews, drills and games. The service is free of charge, provided "as is", and may change, pause, or end during the beta.

2. Your account

An account is a username, an e-mail address and a password. It exists so that you can log in and so that we can help you if you lose your password. No payment is taken and no card is asked for. There is no trial, no subscription and no paid tier in this edition.

3. Your data and content

Your learning content (words, sentences, photos, notes, progress) is stored only on your device. We do not receive, store, or see it. Nothing you paste, photograph or record is sent anywhere. See the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Do not abuse the service (automated scraping, attempting to access others' accounts, reselling access, unlawful content). We may suspend accounts that do.

5. Feedback

During the beta we may ask what works and what does not. Answering is voluntary; answers are used only to improve Pado.

6. Sources

Inflection tables and genders come from Bokmålsordboka and Norsk ordbank (Språkrådet and the University of Bergen, CC BY). Exercise sets written by us are marked as drafts until a native speaker has read them. Pado does not promise that you will pass any examination.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties; we are not liable for indirect damages or data loss on your device — please use the built-in export/backup. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. EU/EEA consumers retain the protection of their local mandatory rules; for US users, these terms are an agreement with the provider in Norway.
